Webflow Analytics Without Cookies
Add Fusionaly to a Webflow site with head code in Site settings, and track clicks with custom attributes. No cookies, no code.
In Webflow, you add the Fusionaly script as custom code in your site settings. To track a button or a form, you give it a custom attribute in the Designer. You write no JavaScript.
Before you start
You need a Fusionaly server, with your site's domain added as a website. Fusionaly takes events only from the domains you added. See Installation.
In the examples, replace analytics.example.com with the domain of your Fusionaly server.
Add the script
-
Open Site settings > Custom code.
-
Paste the script in Head code, and save:
Head code <script defer src="https://analytics.example.com/y/api/v1/sdk.js"></script> -
Publish the site. Custom code runs only on the published site, not in the Designer.
Webflow lets you add custom code only on a paid site plan.
Page changes
Each Webflow page is a full page load, so Fusionaly counts each page without any setup.
Track events
Fusionaly counts page views and button clicks without any setup. To give an event your own name,
use the data-fusionaly-event-name attribute. See Tracking.
Select the element in the Designer. In Element settings, under Custom attributes, add the name data-fusionaly-event-name and a value such as demo_requested. On the published site, the element has this HTML:
<a href="/demo" data-fusionaly-event-name="demo_requested">Book a demo</a>To add data to the event, add more attributes that start with data-fusionaly-metadata-. On a form, the event fires when the visitor submits it:
<form data-fusionaly-event-name="contact_submitted" data-fusionaly-metadata-page="pricing">...</form>Check that it works
- Open your site in a normal browser window. Fusionaly skips automated browsers, such as Playwright, and browsers that send Do Not Track.
-
In the developer tools, open the network tab, and find a
POSTrequest to/x/api/v1/events. A 403 status means that your site's domain is not added as a website. - Open your Fusionaly dashboard. The visit shows up within about a minute.
Notes
- Add the domain your visitors use as a website in Fusionaly. Visits to the
webflow.iostaging address are not counted, unless you add that domain too.
Next steps
- Revenue Tracking: count purchases and their amounts.
- Section Tracking: count the sections that visitors see.
- Exclude your own visits: stop counting your own browser.
- AI Clients (MCP): ask Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor about your traffic.
